April 6, 2007, Newsletter Issue #90: Setting the Back Row, Part 5

Tip of the Week

Setters can be a picky and perfectionist lot, but sometimes, especially when setting the back row, all youīre trying to do is to get the ball up high enough for your teammate to get under it and make a good hit.

So donīt worry if you have to bump set your offering. If the ball is high and in a reasonably good area, your hitter wonīt care. Just get the ball there, donīt worry too much about whether the set looked pretty in the beginning. Itīs the end you care about.
